Eating Well Magazine recently featured my simple movement sequence that will help you break that Zoom fatigue and increase your energy!
We all need a digital detox (or several) throughout the day, because staring at screens literally bogs us down with rigidity – rigidity in our bodies and our brains.
Luckily there are simple ways to re-energize our body, mind, and spirit even on the busiest of days - my favorite being movement.
Set an alert on your phone (every hour if possible) and the moment you hear it - stand up, step away from your desk, and move! Have a song ready to play (no scrolling!) or immediately start singing - anything.
Do this movement sequence OR simply dance your heart out! It will leave you feeling alert, energized, and ready for whatever the rest of your day holds, no equipment required.
Keep in mind, any movement is good movement. Whatever you choose, simply move and get your blood flowing. And make it enjoyable, because habits you’re going to keep doing are the habits you actually like doing.
After 5 minutes, literally check-in with yourself, and take a moment to feel and enjoy the buzz!
